Texas Natural Science Center-The University of Texas. Bring your little Goblins in their costumes to Fright at the Museum! Learn about the insects, spiders and snakes that make up Texas’ natural history. If you really want a trick (and a treat for a needy neighbor), surprise your kids by donating your blood at the blood drive. Sunday October 30, 1:00-4:45. Free event for the entire family.
Hike for frights and fitness at Pioneer Farms. Friday and Saturday, October 29 & 30 from 7-10pm. $10 per person. Website says “appropriate for children and reservations not necessary”.
Boo at the Zoo. See the animals at night with your flashlights! October 28 and 29, 6:30-9:30pm. Haunted train ride tickets (extra fee) available in advance. (512) 288-1490. Entry fee is $12.50. Costumes and picnic dinners are encouraged.
Harvest the Fall Fun! Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls has hayrides, scarecrow making, corn maze, flower picking, pumpkins and various gourds, and much more. Stop by the Bluebonnet Cafe for a piece of pie on the way home (closed Sundays).
