• The 4th Annual Ranger Triathlon for Kids (and adults) took place at the Texas School for the Deaf on a beautiful campus with great views of the Austin cityscape from the bike and run courses.
  • The swim took place in the school’s indoor 25-meter swimming pool. With the 7-10 year old swimming 100 meters, 11-14 year olds swimming 150 meters, and the adults swimming 200 meters.
  • The bike leg encircled the internal campus road which was closed from traffic. The 7-10 year olds riding 2.2 miles, 11-14 year olds riding 5.5, and the adults riding 5.5 miles.
  • The run that the athlete followed was a course that meandered the school grounds on both sidewalk and grass fields, and to add some spice, participants will climb a set of stairs (ages 11+ only). The 7-10 year olds ran .5 miles, 11-14 year olds ran 1mile, and the adults ran 2 miles.

The families had a blast. You could tell from the look on their faces as the crossed the finish line. The primary purpose of the event is to have fun and experience a little competition and that is exactly what they did.
