Three years ago I heard about this awful neurological degenerative disorder that affects children. Compare it to Alzheimer’s in adults but imagine having to watch your child slowly disintegrate in front of you. This video is well worth a couple minutes:
In order to find some way to stop this awful disorder, seven crazies and me have decided to run 95 miles through the night from Mount Bonnell to Enchanted Rock. On my training run this morning, all I could think about was Christianne and the next few years of her life. It just pains me to think of what she and her parents struggle with on a daily basis.
