First Annual Round Rock Rotary Reindeer Run! When you want to place high in your age group, you go to a race in it’s first year. Who knows, you could win and you will be helping a worthy cause. The fact this race starts at 4:30 and pets (not just dogs???) are welcome should get even the slowest of families to the starting line on time. The whole family can enter and the money they raise is helping to build a park –It’s called the Play for All Abilities Park. For more information, click here.

The Zilker Tree is not really a tree, it’s 3,309 lights hanging from a replica moonlight tower. It’s a tradition to spin while underneath the tree. The tree will be lit from dusk to midnight through December 31st. It’s best to go on a weeknight. Actually, it’s best to go every weeknight. There will be shows nightly at the Zilker Hillside Theater and on December 16th at 7pm there is a movie showing! More information look on the Parks and Rec website.
