The Department of Health and Human Services has an awesome website called BAM (Body and Mind) that is dedicated to promoting physical activity and health awareness in children. The website features food and nutrition, safety tips, and even a section about peer pressure and stress. Our favorite is the activity calendar that allows kids to decide which activities from a list of nearly 100 they want to do on an hourly or daily basis, or weekly. While you’re visiting the website, check out the Immune Platoon!

You have reminded me of one of my favorite quotes: “Life is a series of collisions with the future; it is not the sum of what we have been, but what we yearn to be.”
